Inviting Curators and the Curate Screen

Inviting Curators

You can ask anyone to review submissions for you without adding them to your team. It needs two things: your plan has to include curation, and the show has to have curation switched on (Edit Show → Settings → Curate this show).

Invite one person or many

1. Go to Curation Queue and open the Curators panel at the top (click Invite Curators). The Invite Curators button in a show's toolbar opens the same panel with that show chosen.
2. Under Who are you inviting? paste the people, one per line: a name and an email, or just the email.
3. Under Which show will they curate? choose one show, or All shows, now and in future.
4. Click Send invitations.

What happens to each person

• Someone who is already one of your artists or collectors keeps their own account and gains a Curate item in their menu. They do not get two accounts.
• Someone new gets an account and chooses a password from the email.

Making one of your artists a curator

Open the artist from Artists. On their page, find the Curator card and click Assign as curator. Choose one show or all shows, and tick or untick Email them how it works. Owners and admins see this card.

The Curate screen

A guest curator works at /curate. They see only the shows you gave them, and their own work never appears in it, so an exhibiting artist cannot judge their own pieces. They never see your dashboard, settings, sales or other people's details.

Owners and admins can open /curate themselves to see exactly what a curator sees.

Removing a curator

Each person listed in the Curators panel has a Remove button. Removing them stops them curating; their artist or collector account stays as it is.
