The Open Invite Link for a Show

One link per show for a newsletter or group email. It works only while Artist Registration is switched on.

The Open Invite Link

Every show has one link that anybody can use to join it as an artist. It is meant for a newsletter, a group email or a social post, where you cannot send each person their own invitation.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Shows and click the show's title
  2. In the Details card, look at the bottom for the quiet row labelled Open invite link
  3. Click Copy

The link looks like /join-artist/your-gallery?show=your-show. On a connected custom domain it uses your own address.

What happens when someone follows it

  • A new artist registers and lands in that show.
  • Someone who already has an account signs in and is added to the show. They do not get a second account.

Either way, the artist gets a "You are in {show}" email and you and your admins get a notice that they joined.

It only works while Artist Registration is on. On the Shows screen, find the show's card and check the Artist Registration switch. When it is off, the link stops letting people join, and the Open invite link row reads "Off" instead of showing the link. Switch it off when your roster is full, and back on if you want to reopen it. The link itself never changes.

Open invite link or Invite Artists?

Use Invite Artists when you know exactly who you want: only those people can accept. Use the open invite link when you want anyone who receives it to be able to join. If curation is on for the show, you still decide which pieces are shown.

The Artist sign-up row in Quick links on your dashboard is the general version: it brings an artist onto your roster without putting them in a show.
