Calls for Entry: How It Works, Start to Finish

A call for entry is a public, branded page where artists apply to your show with their work. It replaces a separate call-for-entry service: the fees go to your own Stripe account, the jury works inside Art Show Hub, and when you release results the accepted artists and their pieces are already in your show.

The whole journey

1. Create the call under Calls for Entry → New call: title, type, the show accepted work goes into, dates, fees, categories, your questions, and the text artists read before applying.
2. Invite artists from your roster or a pasted list. You can build the list while the call is still a draft; the emails go out the moment you publish.
3. Publish. The call gets its own web address, appears on your calls page, and (for public calls) in the Art Show Hub directory and your sitemap.
4. Entries arrive. Each one is on the call page with a search box, sortable columns, and tabs by status. Unfinished entries (started, never submitted) have their own tab, and a reminder email goes out automatically three days and one day before the deadline.
5. Jury. Add jurors (people you already have, or anyone by email), choose the scale, what jurors can see, and the order they walk entries. Jurors score in a private jury room.
6. Decide. Accept, waitlist or decline, one at a time or in bulk. Nothing is sent yet.
7. Release results. Write the accepted, waitlist and declined emails in your own words, preview them for a real applicant, type RELEASE. Accepted artists get an artist account, land on your roster, and their pieces are in the show waiting for a price.

Where things live

• Calls for Entry (the menu item) is the dashboard: every call, its stage, and the one next thing to do.
• Each call’s page holds its Entries; the buttons across the top open Edit call, Invite artists, Jury settings, Rankings, CSV, Income and Release results.
• The public page lives at your gallery address/calls/your-slug/call-slug, and all your open calls are listed at /calls-for-artists/your-slug, which is also in Quick links.
