Using Your Own Domain

By default your shows live at artshowhub.com/s/your-gallery/your-show. On the plans that include it, you can serve them from your own address instead, so collectors never see our name.

What you have to do

One DNS record. That is the whole job.

1. Go to Settings → General and enter the address you want, something like shows.yourgallery.com.
2. We show you a single CNAME record with the exact values. Add it wherever your domain is managed, usually your registrar or web host. Look for DNS, DNS Records, or Advanced DNS.
3. Come back and press Check my DNS.

That is you finished. We arrange the secure certificate and switch your shows over, usually within a few hours. There is nothing to install, nothing to pay for, and nothing to renew.

Why a subdomain and not your bare domain

Use shows.yourgallery.com rather than yourgallery.com. A bare domain cannot hold the kind of record this uses, which is a rule of DNS rather than a limitation here. Keeping it to a subdomain is what lets your whole setup be one record instead of several, and it leaves your main website exactly where it is.

If the check does not find it

• Give it time. New DNS records usually appear within an hour, occasionally longer. Checking again costs nothing.
• Check the Name field. Some providers want just shows, others want the full shows.yourgallery.com. Use whichever yours expects.
• Watch for a trailing dot or a stray space in the value you pasted.
• The status on the settings page tells you what we actually saw, which usually points straight at the problem.

The alternative

If you would rather not touch DNS at all, the embed widget puts your gallery grid directly on a page of your own website, so collectors browse without leaving your domain. Some galleries use both.
